Please note that due to COVID-19 we currently only have one gathering at 10am.
(Late-Start @ 10:30am. An innovative way of doing church. We sit in small clusters to help us get us to know each other, and to help us interact. Self-serve coffee is available throughout the meeting to help us to relax, which allows us to engage and grow together. The format of the meeting is simple and why we do things is explained. After a children’s talk the children go out to our children’s program, kidZone. The adults receive Bible teaching that’s faithful, clear, engagaing and highly relevant for daily life. During our time together there’s time for questions and discussion. At the end of the meeting we enjoy some finger food and get to know each other better.
Early Service @ 8:45am. A traditional service rich in heritage and reflective in style. Classic hymns are accompanied by a pipe organ. Afterwards morning tea is shared in the nearby hall.)
Ever wished that church was more than just meeting on a Sunday? Inspired by the picture of the early church in Acts chapter 2, our Gospel Community Groups help us to share our whole lives together. They focus not only on us being united and shaped by the gospel, but also, as a result of the gospel, they also focus on us having authentic community together. We meet with each other regularly for Bible study, discipleship, community and mission. We aim not only to bless each other, but to bless the people around us through our mission focus.
A major focus for us is helping our children follow Jesus; that is, to be his disciples. We do this through making our meetings child friendly, and having a dedicated children’s program, kidZone, during the Late-Start meeting. During kidZone we aim to give children a good overview of the Bible and its core teachings, a solid grasp of the gospel, and the tools they will need to interact as Christians with an ever-changing world. We have a great team of skilled and dedicated children’s workers and we take child protection issues seriously.
On Friday nights during school terms we run two youth groups: a junior youth group, Kids Club, for years 3 to 6 (see program here), and a senior youth group, SAYGE, for years 7 to 12. Kids Club runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm, and SAYGE from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Both groups, which are a shared ministry with St Aidans Presbyterian Church, meet in our hall on Cross Street.
